Recently we discovered that the house was sold to the same party who had made the short sale offer, for $15,000 less than the original offer.
Our house was taken in a non-judicial foreclosure after the servicer turned down a short sale offer that was only 5% below the loan balance. I later found out that there were multiple assignments of the same mortgage, between the same parties, though through two different servicers and prepared by two different notarious paperwork mills.
